We have a number of burial packages available, and you can modify these to fit your personal needs, should you require.
- Our most simple burial service, a ‘straight burial package’ involves:
- Transfer of your loved one from place of death into our care.
- Meeting with you to gather death registration information, make arrangements for the burial and prepare necessary documentation.
- Washing and dressing of your loved one, where appropriate.
- A basic wooden casket.
- Transportation to the cemetery at our convenience.
- Completion of the burial at our convenience.
- A certified copy of the death certificate.
- Transfer of your loved one from place of death into our care.
- Meeting with you to gather death registration information, make arrangements for the gathering and burial and prepare necessary documentation.
- Washing and dressing of your loved one, where appropriate.
- A basic wooden casket.
- A service at the graveside.
- 30 service sheets.
- Provision of a celebrant for the service.
- A funeral notice written and placed in the Christchurch Press (up to $100 value).
- A certified copy of the death certificate.
- Transfer of your loved one from place of death into our care.
- Meeting with you to gather death registration information, make arrangements for the burial and prepare necessary documentation.
- A funeral notice written and placed in the Christchurch Press (up to $100 value).
- Washing and dressing of your loved one, where appropriate.
- A basic wooden casket.
- Use of a casket spray (a synthetic floral tribute to be placed on the casket).
- 30 service sheets.
- Provision of a celebrant for the service.
- A 45 minute timeslot for a funeral service at Canterbury Crematorium, a church, hall, or other venue. Additional venue cost may apply.
- Live-streaming of service where venue allows.
- Use of a hearse for transportation to the service and to the burial.

Additional services – slideshows, extra service sheets, facilitating donations…etc are available for additional cost.
Where there is a passage of time between the death and the burial a full embalming or another more intensive preservation method may be advised. This depends on a number of factors and our team can discuss whether or not this is recommended with you.
Payment accepted via cash, EFTPOS or credit. Where credit is used a 4% transaction fee applies.
These prices apply to burials in cemeteries within the Christchurch city area. Travelling charges apply to areas outside of the Christchurch City area.
Prices apply to services performed within normal business hours (9am – 5pm Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays) and burials performed within usual cemetery hours.
Size and weight limitations apply for casket sizing options.
